Prevent Sleep Mode Gateway Drops
Windows turns off your Wi-Fi/Ethernet card when going to sleep, but fails to renegotiate the Gateway IP upon wake.
1. Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
2. Expand Network adapters.
3. Right-click your main wireless or Ethernet controller and choose Properties.
4. Go to the Power Management tab.
5. Uncheck *"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."*
6. Click OK and restart your computer.

1. Open Start menu, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
2. Run these commands sequentially (press Enter after each):
netsh winsock resetnetsh int ip reset3. Press Windows Key + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.
4. Right-click your adapter > Properties > double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
5. Ensure both Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected.
6. Restart your PC.
