Solution:
Root Cause: Graphics Hook Race Conditions between Overlays
When multiple applications (e.g., Discord, RivaTuner Statistics Server, GeForce Experience, Overwolf, OBS) attempt to hook into an application's DirectX/OpenGL swap chain simultaneously, a race condition occurs. The secondary hook gets blocked or causes the rendering pipeline to discard injected frames.
Diagnostic Verification:
Open Task Manager and look for active background processes like RTSS.exe, GeForceExperience.exe, Overwolf.exe, or Obs64.exe.Step-by-Step Fix:
1Close Discord and all third-party overlay utilities.
2Open RivaTuner Statistics Server (if installed), set Application detection level to *Low* or *None*, or add an exception for Discord.exe.
3Open NVIDIA GeForce Experience, go to Settings > General, and toggle OFF In-Game Overlay.
4In Discord, go to User Settings > Game Overlay and toggle OFF Enable in-game overlay.
5Relaunch the target application first, then open Discord as Administrator and start screen sharing.
Prevention & Long-Term Monitoring:
Disable unnecessary in-game overlays to prevent graphics memory hook conflicts and improve overall gaming performance.
