Solution:
Root Cause: Proprietary Gaming Software Polling & Macro Buffer Conflicts
Background OEM software suites (Razer Synapse, Logitech G HUB, Corsair iCUE) continuously hook into Windows HID input queues to manage lighting effects, macro replays, and profile switching. When these background threads lag or conflict with USB interrupt requests, keystrokes can be duplicated in the software input pipeline.
Diagnostic Verification:
Open Windows Task Manager and check CPU/RAM usage of vendor lighting and macro suites.Temporarily terminate all background gaming software and test typing in Notepad.Step-by-Step Fix:
1Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
2Expand Keyboards, right-click your gaming keyboard devices, and select Uninstall device.
3Close proprietary lighting software and terminate background services via Task Manager.
4Unplug the keyboard, restart your PC, and plug the keyboard back in to initialize clean default Microsoft HID drivers.
5Reinstall the clean vendor software suite or configure onboard memory profiles to run without background software.
Prevention & Long-Term Monitoring:
Save hardware lighting and macro profiles directly to onboard memory and disable background software launch on system startup.
